Passage
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1
Reflection
Did you know there are millions and millions of kids in the world? But God never mixes you up with any of them. He knows your name. He knows how you laugh, which game you love most, what sometimes scares you at night.
You are not just “one more” to God. You are you, with your name, your face, your own special way of being you. When the Bible says “I have called you by name, you are mine,” it means you belong to him, like something very precious that he takes care of with love.
Sometimes something bad happens, or you feel lonely, and you might think nobody cares. But God knows exactly where you are, and he does care about what happens to you, even when you can’t see it with your eyes.
Prayer
Thank you, God, for knowing my name. Thank you for not seeing me as just one more person, but knowing me, me. Help me remember that I am yours, today and always. Amen.
